These Terms of Service govern your use of the RecipeChef website at recipechef.me and the RecipeChef application at app.recipechef.me. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

Service Description

RecipeChef provides software tools that allow users to create, manage, cost, review, and export nutrition label outputs based on recipe and ingredient information submitted by the user.

RecipeChef surfaces review states, manual override controls, and export governance to help users evaluate generated outputs, but it is still a software platform, not a certification body or legal advisor. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs before business use.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of recipe, ingredient, serving, costing, and product data entered into the service.
You are responsible for reviewing generated label outputs, warnings, review states, and any manual overrides before use.
You are responsible for ensuring labels meet applicable laws, regulations, and commercial requirements for your products.

Accounts

You may need to create an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions and Billing

The Chef plan includes a 3-day free trial followed by a monthly subscription of CA$24.99/month unless cancelled before renewal. You may cancel anytime. Fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

Public Recipes

If you choose to publish content publicly, you are responsible for that decision and for the content you make available to others.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for unlawful purposes
Attempt to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the platform
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Use automated means to abuse, scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the service beyond what applicable law permits

Service Availability

We aim to keep RecipeChef available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or permanent access to any feature. The service may change, be improved, or be discontinued in whole or in part at any time.

Generated outputs may vary based on the recipe and ingredient data you provide, available food data sources, and any warnings or review states shown in the app.

Intellectual Property

RecipeChef, including its website, software, branding, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain rights to content you submit, subject to the rights needed for us to operate the service.

Limitation of Liability

RecipeChef is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service, including inaccuracies in generated label outputs or business decisions made using those outputs.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these terms, misuse the platform, or create legal, security, or operational risk for the service or other users.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date.
